Nineteen years ago, the Palm City Chamber of Commerce began the Adopt-A-Class program in Palm City. The idea was to help support the school reach their goals in standards, education and quality teachers. The Chamber also appreciated in order to continue and maintain this level of excellence; the schools would need some help. The Chamber has coordinated a partnership with the Kiwanis Club of Stuart Foundation, The Education Foundation of Martin County, Lively Orthodontics, The Morganti Group,Loving Chiropractic and Wellness Center, Highway Tire and Auto, Stuart Jet Center, Law Offices Of Berman & Berman, Coggin Acura* BMW* Honda* Mercedes-Benz of Fort Pierce, PNC Bank for the Adopt-A-Class Program.
Each year, the goal of the Chamber has been to have every classroom in Anderson Middle School, Bessey Creek Elementary, Challenger, Crystal Lake Elementary, Citrus Grove, Clark Advanced Learning Center, Palm City Elementary, Hidden Oaks Middle School, Martin County High School, Warfield Elementary, Indiantown Middle, Hobe Sound Elementary, JD Parker, Jensen Beach Elementary, Sea Wind Elementary, Stuart Middle School and South Fork High School adopted with a $200.00 donation. In order to achieve this goal the Adopt-A-Class program harnesses the resources of the community and the result is an enriched classroom experience that increases both teachers' and students' chances for success.
